TECH 2 Scanner Steamfitter 07-17-2007, 08:30 PM
Does anyone here own a 'Tech2" Scanner? My 2001 Isuzu Rodeo sport manual relies on the tech2 for all diagnostics. I am contemplating a purchase and I was wondering how versatile they are I also have an05 Subaru Legacy GT and a 93 Ford Ranger. I dont want to spend all that cash,$3000 or so for something that is limited to a few makes. Thanks SF Cat Fuzz 07-18-2007, 01:09 AM Your Rodeo does not rely on a Tech 2 for all diagnostics. Most DIY'ers can get by with a simple OBD2 code reader. Spending $3k for a device to use at home is a little out there. That is where I am with my diagnostics-it basically says use the tech2 to command the solenoid etc. I am looking for other methods of testing, this is really becoming a problem, the car is not legal to drive now.My nearest dealership is more than 20 mi away.It may be my only solution-pay Isuzu to fix it.Thanks,Carl Steamfitter 07-21-2007, 10:46 AM I gave up on it too much, money for limited use.If I was loaded it would be a cool toy.
