Just Wondering What You Guys Have Thought About Magnaflow? The Price For This Is $745.00 Comes With All Hardware And Evertyhing. I Know It's Good Quility But Do You Think It's Worth That Much? Plus Do You Know If Magnaflow Increase Your Power #'s Good?

IMHO, no exhaust system is worth $700+ for a daily driver. Show car or high performance limited driver, then sure, but that's a lotta clams just to make it breathe better.

Magnaflow's 2.5" pipes aren't any different than Jeg's or Summit's, they just look nicer. And that's harder to keep after... IMHO. I'd stick with whatever's in your budget.

2.5" really isn't going to give you a huge gain....maybe 3", but it's still not going to produce high numbers. It's usually the combination of exhaust and other mods that give you a noticeable gain. For $700 it better include headers, otherwise that's a pretty big ripoff.

I wouldn't know. Flow numbers are flow numbers... I think the mandrel bends being smooth etc are what you're looking for, and at this time I believe MOST of the exhaust manufacturers are aware that the shitty bends affect performance.

Also, I think header design is more important than the exhaust design, there's really not that much difference between summit / jeg's / dynomax / magnaflow's / and flowmaster's exhausts if you compare similar systems.

If you've got a flowmaster system on it, "upgrading" to a more expensive system may net you a few more HP / FTLB's, but the cost probably isn't worth the increase.

(Personally, I'm running a 3" flowmaster, and going with some 2.12" hookers to clean things up and REALLY let her breathe. Also putting the turn-downs back on. If flowmaster nets me 17 hp and magnaflow nets me anywhere from 14-19 hp, I'll save my $400 and get a new carb, manifold or something.)

Is this for a v6 or v8? If its a V8, you need 3" pipes, no exceptions. V6, we can debate 2.5" vs 3" untill the cows come home.
