94 Jeep JGC rear door lockfuser05 07-10-2007, 10:14 PM Just to let you all know my rear door lock on my 94 JGC Limited stuck closed the other day and I had to grab it with my finger to manually unlatch and then I could close the door. Unfortunately door door lock refused to unlock for any reason. When I manually tried to push the door lock back and forth it would not budge. I have a factory service maul but it was no help. I removed 3 Philips screws, 1 in the door handle/lock housing, one in the handle grip and 1 just below. I could see some rods comng from the door handle and door lock but they wouldn't buge. I finally just grabbed the inside door trim and it all came off. I then peeled back the black, then clear inside weather covering to expose all the holes in the door frame. I could finally figure out which rod was the handles and which onw was the lock. Again pulling and pulling on the lock rod still didn't work. I then got a can of "Liquid Wrench" and sprayed the complete lock mechanism with it and then "Voila" it finally came free and I cold now unlock the door at will. Seems water had got to the lock mechanism and rusted it closed. Hope thsi helps someone else. Any one got any ideas why my front end is clunking when I turn corners. Had both front wheel bearings changed Nov. 06 legalfee 07-11-2007, 02:42 PM Have you checked your front differential fluid? If it's not that then it's probably your transfer case. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
