I recently bought a H22 and im trying to take off the crankshaft pulley so that i can change the timing belt... now the problem is... its not comeing off... the valve cover is off and the timing belt came off of the cam gears as well...and right now i have no idea what to do since i cant put the belt back on due to the autotensioner... anyone got any ideas or solutions??

The engine is not on the car yet, its still on the wooden crate...

PLZ i need all the help i can get... asap...

Impact. Call your friends and find the most powerful impact driver you can. Friend of mine has a ~700 lb/ft Snap-on that holds a record of 1,037,892 and 0.

Well... i have a shitty impact... its connected to the wall... yea.. i need to get a compressor... ive been reading that i can also jam the flywheel... can i do that?? or should i just go with the impact idea??

a honda dealership. but think of it this way, buy the tool and use a couple times, or buy a nice impact and use it a lot

But then again the timing belt isnt on it anymore so im afraid that if i turn my piston fast enough, i might damage my valves if it slips or something... thats y i want to use the tool... or something similar to that.

an impact wont turn over the motor if it has enough torque. the first impact will break the bolt loose and then itll jus come off.... it may turn like 1/100 of a full turn... youll be fine, plus i believe that motor is a non-interference motor, so even at TDC with the valves all the way down, it wont hit

H22's are iterferene. But like you said, the impact will turn the motor so little that you could have a friend hold the flywheel in place.

Something to keep in mind... the valve cover isnt on and the engine is on a crate... its not on the car... i can turn it over with my hand...

right, it will only take a micro second for an impact gun to break the bolt loose, if youre that worried, have a friend hold the flywheel like Audio said.
