confusedpootietang187 07-04-2007, 07:26 PM Well i have an 1987 bmw 325 and i am wondering if it is an m3 or an e30 or something like that because i am confused. If its none of those can someone explain to me the differences between each one and what makes them so specific? BlueBye 07-05-2007, 10:41 AM e30 is the bodytype of the car. Whether or not it is M powered is a different question, it should also be obvious. Share a few pics of your car/engine and people can tell you right away what your car is. pootietang187 07-06-2007, 06:59 PM k i would post pictures but i dont know how runaround any help? DinanM3_S2 07-07-2007, 02:09 AM Your car is an E30, and not an M3. E21, E30, E36, E46, and E90 refer to different generations of BMW 3-series. A quick google search or wikipedia search will give you more data on model specifics. M3s are higher performance cars based on the 3-series platform. They generally have stronger engines, less weight, stiffer suspensions, and some styling differences. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/amcewen/pics/M3_rear.jpg This is what the E30 generation M3 looks like. The major styling differences are the rear wing, wider rear fenders, a slightly different front end, and different wheels. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
