04 Yukon XL Denali - Fuel Pressure Regulatorycats 07-02-2007, 10:41 AM Does anyone know where the fuel pressure regulator is on the 6.0L engine? On my old silverado 5.3L it was located on the right side fuel rail. I called the parts department at my local GMC dealer and they didn't know where it was located. I would assume it has one somewhere. Over the weekend my Denali started having problems starting but runs fine once it is started. Thanks, Ycats maxwedge 07-02-2007, 06:03 PM I would get into more diagnosis here, get a press. gage on it and check if the press drops off radically after shutting it off and do you have 60-65 key on not running? ycats 07-02-2007, 10:32 PM I talked with two other dealers today and they both said that the regulator is in the gas tank with the sending unit on the 6.0 Liter. Ycats maxwedge 07-03-2007, 05:32 AM Ok, so how do you know it is a problem, still not answered? ycats 07-03-2007, 10:01 AM It is exhibiting the same problems my 5.3L Silverado had when the regulator went bad. Plus besides the fuel filter it is one of the cheapest parts to replace. With over $100/hr for GM labor I want to make sure I try to replace the simple/cheap parts before we get into replacing the fuel pump. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
