98 Dodge Caravan Instrument Guages malfunctioningGlenn0921 07-01-2007, 12:23 PM My 98 Dodge Caravan se Instrument Gauages /Instrument display sometime go dead and then Operate again, everything from the Guages to the Electronics display just stop operating but the vehicle still drives normal but on very hot days the problem seems to happen more often than usual, could it be a ground wire perhaps or something, there are no fuses blown......Please help me someone to diagnose this problem. Stretch58 07-01-2007, 12:45 PM Go back to the page that shows all the topics(threads)in the forum and using the "Search this forum" function, enter cluster sport. That will bring up several entrys. Go down to the one done by webbee. It even includes pictures etc. The problem is usually bad solder joints on the instrument cluster. Many times it will start working temporarily if you hit the top of the dash right above the gages. RIP 07-01-2007, 03:56 PM This is becoming a very common problem that should be handled under a dealer recall. This won't turn into a recall unless people file complaints with the NHTSA. No complaints, no recall. Bernard Feltzer 07-02-2007, 03:59 AM vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
