Having fun with this. Just got done swapping out the copper contact plates for my electric seats, motors would not adjust due to poor contact points. They were extremely dirty and worn out. Anyway, I went to a pick&pull, an to my surprise no jeeps were to be found in the entire yard. I’m thinking darn, I avoid dealer parts at every chance, cuz they charge and arm&leg. Went over to the Chrysler section, nothing but Plymouth, Dodge Vans (all made by Chrysler). I took the control panel for seat adjustment, & bingo same contacts plate. Yank them off and did a five finger discount, like everyone does. Got home & slap them in my JGC, to wow. The "Clicking noise was crisp, contact points were perfect. Got both driver & passenger seats fully operating. Just wanted to share the 411 with the crew.
Got all my windows to work, I was able to take apart carefully the switch and clean out the tinny contact points. I even did abit of light filling just make sure a got a good contact, copper is essentially ez to work with, tedious.
The only thing left is the locks, every individual switch will unlock the power locks, but I do have to lock my doors manually, all except for the rear tailgate door. I’m thinking a relay maybe shorted, maybe. Cant figure it out, I can only unlock but not lock and secure my door, with the exception of my tailgate. Anyone? Any 411 would be greatly appreciated.

Yea it is probably the RELAY, the LOCK and UNLOCK RELAYS are in the glovebox, there is a false bottom and they are under it. My book shows there should be (up to) 7 relays in this relay center. Security Alarm (If Equipped) Power Door Lock, Power Door Unlock, Power Antenna (if equipped),Heated Rear Window (if equipped), Horn, Illuminated Entry.
Starting in the back from right to left: Security Alarm, Power Door Lock, empty cavity, Power Antenna, horn. Now the front: empty cavity, Power Door Unlock, Empty Cavity, Heated Rear Window, Illuminated Entry.

Thanx! My jeep has all above features mentions. About the relays, how do check them? Or do just swap them out. Like I said, I can hit the button to unlock the doors but cannot lock them. I don’t even hear a clicking noise. How difficult is it to remove the locks. I got the door panels off, but have not touch the locks. I’m going after the relays first.

Ok!, I found relays underneath the glove box. Did the switch around, no change. I take the relays are good. Correction, Both Rear doors lock and unlock, master lock itself hold ( to shut off the rear windows & locks). Both front driver and passenger locks are issue, they wont lock or unlock.
As for the relays, do you what is what? All together I have six relays, do you have the legend as to clarify what’s what?
Thanx again
