'97 Skylark shudders, dies

Occasionally, my '97 Skylark will start to shudder/shake and then die after driving it a very short distance (across a parking lot or just down the street). When it does quit, the battery and oil lights come on. I can turn the ignition off, put the car in park, and it starts right back up again, however.

After this happened once, I took it to my dealership, but they found nothing wrong. The problem only happens every now and then--just a lot of shaking and then no power steering/engine power.

Any thoughts? Thanks! :)

Could be a vacuum leak from the PCV pipe. It could also be the EGR valve or the MAP sensor. This may be the case if it conks out while coming to a stop.
