im just wondering how i can make my car (HX) fast without doing a motor swap. I may be interested in doing that down the road but for now what should i do to it? run I/H/E????? one person told me it will only add 15-20 HP, is that true???

yeah thats about right give or take 5 hp, lol. if you wanna do a motor swap, there is no point in wasting money in the hx motor. i would start saving up for the swap already, the more you save up the faster your gonna get it. but if you want power now you can get nos. you could always transfer the nos to the engine swap when you get it. the hx motor itself is nto really that good of a motor so i would stay away form wasting money on it.

yeah get the intake and the exhaust cause those are tranferable but i wouldnt get the header.

all this kinda depends on if you are gonna swap and then what your gonna swap into there.

alright, but where do i look for an engine swap? i dont really know much about motors, i would want to swap to a b18 or soemthing right?

i would suggest go ask a shop. it looks like you would be having it swapped by a shop anyways. these prices are for a complete swap running out the door, around there. b16a = $2500, b18c1 = $4500

You want to make it faster, sell it and buy an SI or throw in a new motor cause the HX is built for economy - throwing on I/H/E will not only be a waste of $500+ but youll probably loose out on a great deal of that wonderfull fuel economy the HX is so famous for

you buy a motor and get no recipt, takes forever to get a motor and you always seem to be missing something from them...

Call your insurance company
Try to get them to pay for a new engine
then go get a swap :)
