I have this problem where the seat that is used to allow 3rd row seat passengers access won't slide forward. One of my regular passengers got used to reclining the seat while we were driving and I dion't think he knew the right handle to use. So, rather than ask, he must have pushed it the wrong way. It appears the cable which is connected to the handle that slides the seat forward has either broken or come aloose. Has anyone experienced this before? If I have to, I want to buy the cable only.

are you describing second row bucket seats right? I have second row bucket seats in my 2003...true buckets not a bench split in two and they're not supposed to slide forward or back at all, the seat folds forward and the back of the set down to it to make for more rear storage.

OK. I have "true" split bucket seats with armrests, etc. where you can walk through the middle of the seats to the 3rd seat. One of the seats (passenger side) has 2 levers whereas the driver side has one. The second lever is used to flip the seat forward where it then slides a few inches to allow people to step behind it into the 3rd seat.

hmmm, thought i was crazy so i went out and looked and there was no lever for that, only to rock them forward. i pulled out the owners manual and it said there was a lever to lift the seat for easy access on the passenger side but mine did not have that so apparently it changed at some point in 2003. either way it's not for sliding it forward or backward, just for lifting the seat.
