We have a 1997 dodge Ram 3500 van and it sat for a couple of months and now that I got it out to use it, I noticed a couple of things,

1) the AC blows out the vents but when I accelerate or climb a hill it goes to the floor

2) The Cruise isn't working...

Are these 2 problems possibly connected ????? ( Vaccuum Leak? )

Its the same with my Van. The air ducts direct to the airflow to the floor every time I come off throttle after overtaking etc... I am still trying to find out what is causing this.

There's a check valve in line to the heater controls that only allows vacuum to travel in one direction. Replace that check valve and you should be good to go, assuming you have no other vacuum leaks that is.

I have the same problem. I'm a newbie at fixing my van, any idea where I look to find this line valve. I'm clueless!

Everything seems to be connected. I'm still trying to figure out where the valve in the line is?

The check valve is on the passenger side of the intake manifold. Usually there is a 90 degree rubber elbow on the manifold, then the valve, then the hose that run to the vacuum reservoir behind the passenger headlight.

Is the technical name for the check valve "air injection check valve?" I'm trying to find the right part online. Thanks.

No that's not the name and you will have to go to a dealer to get it, not online.
