buy 98 deville?? =

friend moving to europe and selling 1998 deville for about $6300. 95,000 miles ? gold color with leather,tint,a/c, new michelins. he bought it from used dealer 3 years ago. has slight shutter when apply brakes at around 40 - 45 mph.does it sound ok to you guys ?

The price is high for a 9 year old Cadillac with almost 100,000 miles. And the brake shudder should be fixed before you sell it, or people are going to haggle a lot more off the car to get it fixed.

I bought a virtually identical car (same colour, leather, same new Michilens, same brake shudder) for the same money..... but mine had only 60k miles.

I agree with the above post..... there is room for negotiation.

Check out some other prices on line. Cars like that with that mileage trade for about $2000 less.

I bought a 98 Deville from my mom with 95,000 miles and it runs great, bought it a year ago from her for what the dealer was going to give her, $4,000. I now have 110k miles, runs great, getting about 25 mpg commuting to work. I think your brake problem is easy, replace the rotors and brake pads, probably only the front doing that, my mom's did the same thing. $6300 is a bit high, I think 5 grand is probably about right, but that Northstar is a sweet engine.
