hub assembly worn?drdd 06-14-2007, 10:23 PM is it possible for my 97 4x4 front wheel bearing/hub assembly to be worn and bad without the tell-tale signs of groaning, moaning, or grinding? My steering has been wandering quite a bit. I'm down to only a few more ideas, the hub assem, rag joint, the pitman arm, or the gearbox --- everything else is new/replaced ! new idler arm squared the center link / idler arm in relation to the chassis new control arm bushings dbl checked chassis ride height / torsion bar setting calipers / sheild not binding tire pressure good ball joints new tie rod end is solid there is no play in wheels at 12/6 oclock or 9/3 oclock any ideas ? MT-2500 06-15-2007, 09:49 AM Best to jack it up and check and look everything over for anything being lose. Also inspect tires for a slipped belt bent wheel or bad spot. The wheel bearings should not have any movement to them. If all is good and tight have the front end alignment checked. MT vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
