Rattling cat, any fix?frehol 06-14-2007, 03:04 PM Hi, I have a cat that rattle probably due to lose elements inside. Don't want to change it right now. Is there any quick fix to this? Like driving a screw in to it to hold the inside in place...? //F MT-2500 06-14-2007, 03:54 PM Hi, I have a cat that rattle probably due to lose elements inside. Don't want to change it right now. Have a close look it may be a outside shield rattle. What year and engine and mileage? frehol 06-18-2007, 11:53 AM Better to leave it alone until you can get it replaced. Have a close look it may be a outside shield rattle. What year and engine and mileage? It's a 95 V6 and about 130 000km. No, it's not the shield, did check that. :frown: When I bang it with my hand I hear the inside rattle... nothing loose on the outside. Yes, maybe I should leave it for now. Actually it doesn't realy bother me as it's the wife that use the Blazer :) I have to drive the Renualt Megane :frown: /F MT-2500 06-18-2007, 12:28 PM If it is running ok for now just replace when you can. If you screw anything into it it may break it up more. It is a hard shelled honey comb type cat. Good Luck. MT BlazerBoyLT98 06-18-2007, 12:37 PM I would agree, just leave it alone until you can replace it. Messing with it will only cause more problems vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
