A/c Problem

Hey guys I know you all know alot about these cars I just bout a 89 325i about 2 months ago and everything was fine untill recent my A/C whent completely out it was making a clicking noise blew alot of hot air and just died. now it wount blow any air at all, and the light for the a/c wont turn on its like it all just broke. what could this problem be? :banghead:

OK I fixed the air I was about to look for the final stage unit and decided to check all the fuses and it was burned out. but its still not blowing cold air as it was before it burned out. what could it be?:frown:

You do not tell us if your system has been converted to HFC 134a or still uses the old R-12 refrigerant, however, you need to put a pressure gauge on the low side and check the pressure, you need to see about 34psi on the gauge and if it is too low you need to recharge. If you have the R-12m system and are not a certified, and licensed refrigerant tech you cannot buy R-12. If you are using 134a you can buy it at any parts store (provided you do not live in Wisconsin or a few other states). you can buy the 34a with a reuseable gauge at any parts store for around $19.00 with probably one can of 134a included.
