86 F-150 seat belt too short

I mentioned this in a previous post on another problem, but thought best to start a new one on this problem specifically. I just bought an 86 F-150 2WD, 4.9 4spd truck, in excellent condition. I noticed the seat belt was TIGHT and assumed incorrectly the belt was wrong, broken, etc. I am not a small person but the other vehicles I own all have belts that let you move around a good bit, but not this truck. I have to do fully extend it to fasten and that is not good as I have no additional movement room to deal with emergency brake etc. and it is uncomfortable. My 93-S-10 Blazer has plenty of additional belt as does our Intrepid and Beretta. Can't understand why this does not. I went to a local bone yard this morning and was surprised to see their F-150 trucks also had this same belt. I have a couple of options, either buy an aftermarket belt or try an extender. I have seen both on Ebay, but would like to see if there are any other options such as a belt from another Ford truck etc. I hate import aftermarket stuff but I notice their belts are 131" where the stock Ford belt is only about 85". As for the extender, I see 7" extenders for 90-96 trucks. Anyone know if these will work on older trucks?? Appreciate any feedback. If someone knows of a good aftermarket supplier that is good too.

For what it's worth, I called the local Ford dealership this morning and was suprised to learn Ford offers belt exenders for these old trucks for FREE. I would assume this is because the belts just are not long enough for a lot of people including myself, so anyone else with that issue call your local dealer. Takes 2 days to get, mine are on their way.
