Turned the fan to high and it sounded like there is stuff jammed in the fan cage. Probably a mouse tried to build a home.?. Anyway, how do I get to the fan cage? From the engine well or from the inside passengers side, up under the dash?

Thanks All

I, for the life of me cannot locate my factory service manual to look it up and see the procedure. I looked under the hood of my '95 and it appears you might have an easier time from inside the car and not the engine compartment. If I should come across my book, I'll post what it says, hopefully it won't be too late for you to be able to use the info.

I found it. On the right passengers side under the dash. Had to take some plastic panels off but was fairly easy to get to. Considering the best position to get to it was totally up side down in the passengers seat. With your feet on each side of the passenger head rest. As I thought, the fan motor cage was packed with a dead bird and it's nest. Once cleaned it worked fine.

Thanks

I'm glad it worked out all right for you. It's funny you posted today as I had just found my factory service manual that I was looking for.(It appears "someone", my son I would guess, had tried to hide it from me because someone had spilled something on it. It appears to be fruit punch as the affected pages and areas of the manual are now stained pink!Maybe someone will see it and think it's old tranny fluid or something else:grinyes:.) Anyways, according to the manual, that's pretty much how you access it,although the manual didn't say about which position to place your body whil doing the work. I'm just thankful I didn't pay full price for the factory service manual, got it off eBay for about $25, so I can deal with the stains... for now :banghead: .
