85' caprice and a 85' SS frontend swap?JaySSmith 06-02-2007, 03:20 AM I was wondering could you fit a 85' monte carlo ss frontend on a 85' caprice? silicon212 06-02-2007, 12:09 PM I was wondering could you fit a 85' monte carlo ss frontend on a 85' caprice? No, and why would you want to? The Caprice is much heavier and larger than a Monte. If you want to increase the performance of the suspension, '94-'96 Impala SS or '88-'96 9C1 parts are the way to go. The 9C1 parts give a somewhat stiffer ride than the SS parts will, but they also offer the best performance. If you're talking about the body, such as the front clip, then hell no. Park a Monte next to a Caprice and you'll see why. '97ventureowner 06-02-2007, 12:22 PM If you're talking about the body, such as the front clip, then hell no. Exactly, Montes were considered "midsize" cars( G-bodied), while the Caprice was considered a "full size" car(B-bodied). vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
