I was wondering could you fit a 85' monte carlo ss frontend on a 85' caprice?

No, and why would you want to? The Caprice is much heavier and larger than a Monte. If you want to increase the performance of the suspension, '94-'96 Impala SS or '88-'96 9C1 parts are the way to go. The 9C1 parts give a somewhat stiffer ride than the SS parts will, but they also offer the best performance.

If you're talking about the body, such as the front clip, then hell no. Park a Monte next to a Caprice and you'll see why.

Exactly, Montes were considered "midsize" cars( G-bodied), while the Caprice was considered a "full size" car(B-bodied).
