ELLO... new to all this but really need some advice...

Driving home weds night when all of a sudden my gear stick started wobbling really bad, the faster i went the worse it became. Only seems to happen in 4th & 5th gear or over 30mph.

Took to garage & nobody seems to kno wats wrong.. was told may need new gearbox at a cost of £380... Please can anybody help or give advice not really happy bout spending that amount wen not really sure if it is that!!!!:uhoh:

Has this happened to anyone else & am i safe to still drive???
