I have a 93 Pathfinder. Got the car not running, figured I could fix it. So far, no luck. Need your help.

Path will turn over, but will not crank on its own. Use starting fluid and it does crank up. As long as I keep the starting fluid going, it keeps on running. So it is getting spark, engine is not locked up, and compression is good.

Replaced fuel pump, pump relay, main relay, and fuel filter. All are working fine. Good pressure in the lines, fuel is clean.

PROBLEM: No power to the injectors. Is there a relay or fuse for the injectors. Is there a bad wire or connection I can check.

I read in one post where a guy found an inline fuse blown, no luck here.

Help. 10-18. Thanks

Let me get this straight, the vehicle will crank just not run on it's own. You have no volts to any of the injectors, right. Have you checked all of your fuses? Checked for rodent damage?

No Rodent damage. I can crank the vehicle with starter fluid sprayed directly into the intake, but it will not crank on its on. No power to injectors. Is there an ignition module, relay, fuse, or wire that would cause this....or maybe a bad computer?/

Ok, cranking refers to the starter motor operation. If it cranks, the engine is turning over ( you don't need fuel or fire to crank ). Like I asked earlier, have you checked all fuses?

See if it is just as simple as a tune up. My moms car had a similar problem, and we found out that the distributer cap was bad, and therefore you had to keep the gas pedal all the way to the floor to keep it running. Once we replace the distibutor cap, all was okay again. See if that helps.

Thanks for the responses. All of the fuses are fine. I changed out most of them and most of the relays just to make sure. When I turn the key, the motor will turn over and over, but will not fire. I can hear the fuel pump working, can see fuel in the fuel filter, and can feel pressure after the fuel filter. Fuel is getting to the injectors, but it is not getting put into the cylinders. I'm thinking a bad ecm. I can't find anything else otherwise.

Buy a service man.

Bought a used ECM and replaced the old. Still no change. Could an aftermarket alarm screw me up. Could there be a problem from the metal fuel line to the fuel injector? Any help??

The injectors should be controlled directly by the ECU, no relays. Relays don't switch fast enough to fire injectors at the rate they see with an engine revving to 6000 RPM.

You can download a free factory service manual from PhatG20.net for a 94, that should allow you to troubleshoot your problems. They didn't change much between 93 and 94. Every factory service procedure is outlined in there.

The injectors could be shot, the wiring for them could have drifted up against the exhaust somewhere and shorted out, I think one of the most basic things to do is test the wiring between the injectors and the ECU to see if you still have continuity. You can also test the injectors individually with a voltmeter for resistance with the values provided by the factory service manual.

As an aside, check in at the NPORA forum! We love to help folks with problems and most of the time we end up with a solution.

I had this exact problem but it was on a 97 mitsubishi eclipse. 2 weeks of troubleshooting, new computer, fuel pump, filter, checked every sensor about 3 times and come up with nothing. Turns out I had a bad ground wire, cleaned it up and it fired right up. Check and see if you are getting voltage at your injectors. Hope this helps
