Hello, I'm hearing lots of ppl saying that Taurus' are bad for transmission overheating. I'm thinking of installing an extra (aux) radiator just to cool the tranny oil.
I assume Ford already has IN and OUT lines from radiator to cool the tranny? If so, how do I locate them?

Is there a write-up of how I install and extra rad?

Thanks

Adding a trans cooler to a Taurus is not a bad idea and probably wouldn't hurt, but Taurus transmissions are finiky and sometimes you go to the old saying............ "If it ain't broke, then don't fix it".

You can find the lines running to the radiator from underneath. Remove that black pan under the bumper and you will find a nice place to hook into and room to install it.

Thanks for the reply, I took another look and I've noticed I have some plastic coverings, I'll remove them and if I'm confused, I'll come back to you :)
