Running a Taurus off propane?

My number one question related to a Taurus right now is "will the injectors handle a gas fuel, such as propane, or worse--air?" I know the manual states that if the car stops running from running out of fuel, you simply add more gas to get it running again. I have also heard that the injectors will "jam" if they get air instead of liquid. What I'm thinking of doing is trying a temporary conversion by removing and capping the gasoline lines on the engine side of the regulator, and adding a propane tank for fuel. I will be running the starter motor and gradually increasing the propane PSI's at the injectors from zero until the car starts running with the use of a regulator to find how much fuel pressure is needed. Is this a feasible test and conversion or is this just plain insane? :screwy:

I don't know, but if someone sold a conversion kit I'd buy it in a New York minute :grinyes:

With any luck at all, maybe I can generate a conversion kit.:naughty:
