Antenna wire access through firewall on passenger side?

I installed my CB antenna on the passenger side of the truck in the place of the stock antenna. After taking out the glove box and crawling around under the dash, I gave up on running the antenna wire through the passenger side and used the grommet on the driver's side that everyone else is using. It worked fine there until I ran wires for my cellular phone hands free kit through the same driver's side grommet. Now I get interference when the hands free kit is turned on. Does anyone know of another entrance through the firewall so that I can get my antennna wire away from the other wires?

I believe there are only two from the factory. You could always make a new one. :D

Dumb question, why is a hands-free kit running wires into the engine bay ?

Because the power wires run directly to the battery. Actually, it has one set of power wires that run directly to the battery, and one that is supposed to be hot only when the key is on.

You are probably thinking of one of those hands free kits that plug into your cigarette lighter. This is a full duplex kit with a wiring harness and remote box that was meant to be professionally installed. It has provisions for a power booster and a separate hand set, speaker, micro phone, and antenna. The kit works with older Motorola phones like the Star Tac, Timeport, and V8160.

Could you run it to your fuse block instead?

I probably could have done that. The instructions said to go to the battery and the wires are encased in a thick ruber harness that is long enough to go to the battery, so I went ahead and ran it all the way to the battery. I zip tied the phone wires to the antenna wire and wrapped everything in a hard plastic sheath. I think I just need to separate the power wires from the antenna wire and my interference problems will hopefully be solved. Thanks for the help.
