caught in a bindShadow350Z 05-26-2007, 01:46 PM hello... been on these forums for a while over in the 1:24 Car Models section but time to move on from those small cars to the real thing My parents are buying me a brand new car for my graduation present limit is under 20k I'm down to 4 cars:: don't know which to pick though :banghead: ~08' Lancer GTS ~07' Civic 4dr EX ~07' Corolla S ~07' Toyota Yaris Liftback the Lancer I LIKE alot cause it looks aggressive and the shark nose styling but the milage 21/29 and I like the Mag Paddle Shifters but M/T is preffered so 100% of the car is in my control (didnt test drive it yet) The Civic is just ok problem is that too many have it everytime I drive on the road I see one (I know stupid reason- but I wanna be unique you know... have something that you dont see everyday) Corolla S is the same too, alot of people have it, and when I test drove it, just not enough power for me (currently borrow my parents cars 06 Xterra and 01 Prelude and they have power and the kick I want) The Yaris surpirsingly I like it too, for a small car it has the kick I want for only 103HP and gas milage is great but its femish its like a huge jellybean :iceslolan Getting picky for my first car... but I get bored of things that I don't like and I know the car will be with me for a while so yeah thanks for the advice in advance PlayStation3 05-26-2007, 01:59 PM out of those 4 get the lancer Shadow350Z 05-26-2007, 02:16 PM thats what I was thinking too is there any negatives on the Lancer? for now only thing that sucks on the lancer is the mpg out of the 4 cars the lancer has the lowest mpg sickcallawayc12 05-27-2007, 04:43 PM Mitsu doesn't have the greatest history when it comes to warranties. personally i don't like them but it probably suits you the best from the 4 listed. I'd think the paddles would be an option and not standard. and none of the lancers have had great mpg compared to the competition. Shadow350Z 05-27-2007, 06:42 PM :frown: case is closed just got home from Honda brought home a Galactic Gray 2007 Civic LX Sedan Manual Transmission was hoping for the Lancer it was the same price tooo! 16-17k just my dad don't like the resale value and the mpg of the Lancer compared to the Civic not what I expect but nope cant always get what you want right? haha its w/e brand new car 98BlackTransAm 05-27-2007, 06:45 PM congrats on your first car,, play safe  Shadow350Z 05-27-2007, 07:15 PM thanks alot yo and thanks for the people who helped me sorta pick lol :grinyes: next up is to earn for BBS 19inches RG-R and Magnaflow cat back system demo_deven 05-28-2007, 10:31 PM You havent even had the car for a day and already your talking about rims and exaust lol PlayStation3 05-28-2007, 11:21 PM just don't start doing unpainted bodykits or a big spolier. seerose92 05-29-2007, 06:20 AM it kinda seems like u know what u want without our opinions Shadow350Z 06-05-2007, 01:28 AM omg no NO! ricer status lol :nono: big spoiler = no no :banghead: i like it wingless keep it simple and clean yah know? with the guages all blue and stuff I decided the theme of the car is be Bronze with Blue accents :naughty: heres the updated list... lol 18' Volk TE37 Bronze Injen Intake GReddy Ti-C Catback Exhaust System H&R Sports Springs I was undecided tho... but I had plans for each if I ended up getting one of em  MKarl 06-06-2007, 04:43 PM Congrats on your new car. ChevyRidinLow 06-15-2007, 08:31 AM Yeah man be EXTREMELY grateful that youre parents bought you a car...im paying for my 1st car 100% on my own...that's: -the car (duh), -AALLL of the insurance (im paying all of it now too since on the insurance policy...currently $50/month), -Gas (which i pay for now too when i drive my parents' cars of course lol) -and finally, all of the registration and other DMV bulls**t. and i am in NO WAY saying this as a disgruntled spoiled brat because im proud to buy my own car....just saying you gotta be grateful you know. you definetely should put your parents in an excellent old folks home when they retire in return for the car lmao vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
