I know i've probably asked this question several times before, but will not having the air injection pipes and the canister connected to the carb affect my gas mileage?

The AIR pipes will limit the effectiveness of the catalytic converter when the engine is cold, but shouldn't otherwise affect the engine one way or the other. The canister provides "free gas" so when you start the engine in the morning, it gets a quick charge, but other than that (and the fact you will smell vapors without the canister), there's no difference.

alright good, just making sure. i think i know where that canister line goes now too, but i need to get a canister purge valve to run through it first, kind of confusing to explain, but i know what needs to be dont with that now i think.

I have one if you want it for free. I send it to you. It simply screws into the intake manifold. It has two holes... one to the canister, the other to the carb.

Sure that would be great, what does that little valve do? i know it has vacum air that goes through it but i really dont understand how it all works, i saw a pic of one and it looks like it had about four or five openings for the little hoses to plug into.

That's a TVS, not a purge valve. The purge valve has two large lines (the purge line to the canister, and then a line that connects to that TVS you mention), and I believe 3 or 4 smaller vacuum lines.
