01 rim and tire

I have an 01, i just got some srt-4 rims and tires to replace the stock wheels, when fitting the wheels on the car, the tire just hits the bottom of the strut where the spring sits. How do people fit 18" and 19" without the tire hitting the strut. Are there struts that have more room, or are wheel spacers the only solution. Thanks

You need to get a smaller tire. The stock SRT-4 tires won't fit OR swap the SRT-4 suspension along with the new tires.

get coilovers, but then again, you can get 17"s because they are easier to fit. whatever you do, do not put too much tread on the tire, they'll rub.
