I changed my Fuel Pressure Regulator and when I went to start the car, I got alot of white smoke coming out of the exhaust. So I took the FPR back out and made sure the rubber washer was pushed in all the way.Took her back out for a ride and everything seemed fine. Now today about 2 weeks later I get in the car and start it up and same thing. Does anyone have any ideas what to do. I tried the Idle learn. That did not work. I disconnected the battery and am going to let it sit over night. Obviously the car is getting to much fuel. If I can't figure it out I am going to be forced to take it to a mechanic:rolleyes: . Any logical help is greatly appreciated. Does anyone think it is the PCM or a faultity FPR??

it may simply be the moisture in the cold engine and exhaust system being burned off. If there's a lot of white smoke and it continues for a long time, you may have an internal coolant leak. Check to see if you are losing coolant and if the smoke smells sweet like antifreeze steaming.

I don't feel it has anything to do with coolant. The exhaust smells like gas(very rich). And it started the second I changed the FPR. Maybe I just answered my own question??? Only question is why 2 weeks later. Is the any kind of set up when changing a FPR that I did not follow??
