I have a 1987 Camaro that on a few occasions will not stay running in the morning only. It will start up every time but 4 or 5 times in the morning it will not keep the idol up to stay running. I have to keep my foot on the gas and 2 foot the car most of the way to work (about 12 miles). It has a new Alternator and Starter. Don't know if it is a Fuel Pump problem or what. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated:banghead:

think your car is carbrated right?
if so might be the choke. need to find out if it has a electric choke. if so wire might be off. also check to make sure the butterflys are working right. might be sticking alittle spray with carb cleaner.

The car is fuel injected. The only times I have had an issue with it staying running has been in the morning. It was not necessarily that cold those few mornings so I don't think that is the issue (I live in central Florida). I don't know if maybe it is a fuel pump (need to check the pressure) or a clogged line etc.

Definately check the pressure.

Also when was the last time all the routine maintnance items were gone through?

I assume the check engine light is not on?
