If you bleed it on the car you will have to bleeed the whole system, bench bleed it, then bleed the lines at the m/c after installed, you may get a way with it.

I have a '95 as well and I've replace the MC. You can do the equivalent of "bench bleeding" on the vehicle using the brake pedal as the means to recirculate the brake fluid. Naturally you DO NOT connect the brake lines until you've blead the MC. The replacement MC I purchased came with the fittings and small clear tubing required to "bench bleed". I simply installed the MC, attached the MC bleeder fittings, filled with brake fluid and had my wife pump the brake pedal whilst I heald the tubes submerged in the resevoir.

Once the unit is "bench blead" (no more bubbles) I removed the bleeder fittings and reattached the brake lines. There was never a need to bleed the "system" after this.

All this assumes that you've taken great care not to allow brake fluid to escape from the disconnected brake lines. If however, you lose brake fluid from the disconnected lines you may need to bleed the "system" no matter where you physically perform the bleeding of the MC.

installed the new master cylinder and everything went smooth.most time consuming part was getting the large tube off the resivor, pain in the neck.bled the MC while on the vehicle and did not have to bleed the entire system.not a bad job.thanks all

I forgot about that darn ABS-Recirculation hose. It is a son-of-a-gun to detatch from the resevoir!

Glad to hear it worked-out without the need to bleed the entire system.

Congratulations.
