I rear ended someone about 2 months ago and my core support was bent back about 2-3 inches. Does anyone know how or have a site that could give me instructions on replacing it? I have a 2dr DX. Thanks

make sure the rails dont need to be pulled out.. if they do then u need a bodyshop with a puller to do it.. if not then drill out the spot welds.. remove the old support and place in the new one and weld it back in. (i still suggest a body shop do this)

its just the top of it, where the top light mounts are, and the hood latch and a little down the left side.......would i need to pull the rails?

it doesnt look that bad... do me a favor and 1. resize the pics so theyt arent so huge. and 2. disassemble the front end so i can see more.

I will get some pics of the bumper removed and all this weekend. I didn't think it was that bad looking, just pop the tack welds, pull the radiator, put new one in, put radiator back. that should be about it right?

in a very short and VERY simplified version yes... make sure the front end (including the radiator) is removed first.. it will make your life soo much easier. how are you planning on mounting the new one? do you have a welder?

I personaly dont weld, but a buddy of mine does, so i was planning on drilling out the tack welds and then just welding the new one in. would i need to completly remove the radiator or just unbolt it and hold it out of the way? Do you need more pics cuz i got some.

without bunper/ fenders would help. and you want to NOT drill through all the metal only enough to brake it free. that way you have a metal back to weld to.

so it should be pretty easy and hopefully quick. maybe an hour or two? or more?

umm unless youve done it many times before.. plan on many hours to do it right.. dont rush fixing structural pieces.
