how do you tell if the oil pump is primed in a 87 22r engine. I have just finished rebuilding the engine and i have taken the spark plugs out and I have turning the motor over for a few hours and i cant tell if the oil pump is primed or not can any body help.

To prime the oil u must first fill with oil take out spark plugs along with oil filter with all that out manually crake over the engine till oil flows out of the filter spot prime th filter install it and install the spark plugs and ur set:grinyes:

so if i was to take the oil filter off and oil comes out does that mean the pump is primed

Ok i have done everything you told me and no oil is coming out. What is wrong this engine is really getting on my nerves any help is appreciated
