cars w/ bench seatsbuudy02 10-18-2002, 05:14 PM can anyone help me? i have a disability that makes it neccessary to use a car with a bench seat. i have to get rid of my 94 sable. i have to buy a used car with font bench(they can be split bench). my only requirement is that it be $3-6k,reliable. so far i have found 96 pontiac bonneville,95 chevy lumina,97 ford taurus,95 buick lesabre. these all have bench. can anyone add to this list and of these which is most reliable. it is a real problem for me to get stuck somewhere. thanks for any help Ssom 10-19-2002, 05:11 AM Hi there and welcome to AF- I can't name anything more in your price range- Japanese cars always have it best in reliability- but I can't think of any Jappers with beench seats- don't go with the Taurus- they have real problems with Auto-tranny's- The LeSabre is a nice reliable car- a little boring- as with the Bonneville-. I'd say go with the Lumina- it is basically the same as all the others- but it looks a little better and is probably the most reliable :) dbartoschek 10-26-2002, 07:34 PM go with the Bonneville.....testimonial right here from a Bonneville driver...they are good looking, powerful, and fairly reliable....94' bought brand new.........AC screwed up under warranty...but after that the only thing was a power window breaking....... YogsVR4 10-27-2002, 07:11 PM Yeah - if its a disability that requires a bench, you probably also need something of size too. The Bonny will give you more room to get in and out then most other cars of that price range with bench seating. If you can squeeze a few more dollars you can probably get a good used Caddy as well. Now you have bench seating and style. dbartoschek 10-31-2002, 10:05 PM BONNEVILLE.....cheaper and more stylish then a Caddy vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
