Hey all, about three weeks ago I bought the Olds. First few days I had to replace the tranny modulator., then the blower motor. I put new pugs in. The oill, water, and trans., fluid has been great. Car never made a bad sound. I went to an old gas station off the interstate, I had too!, and got what I think was some bad gas. About 20 miles down the road my car started missing, when I got off the interstate the car was making a pecking sound. I stopped and checked all fluids, the car was fine, not even hot. By the time I got home it was knocking. I lost a lot of power coming up a hill, it barely made it up a hill! After checking all the fluids ect., I descided to go and get some gas treatment, when I stopped at a light my car stalled? This was a first. I tried to start up and my battery died fast. I went and got a new battery, but when I started my car the starter clicked. I tapped the stater with a hammer, the car started. On the way home it had little power and would not accerlerate. When I got home it died in the driveway. It sarted up after several attempts and barely made it up my driveway. It stalled again and I figured it was the gas. I was worried about the starter earlier and put a new starter on along with a battery. It will not start, it seems like it does not have enough power, even new bat., and start., to turn flywheel? My family thinks the motor died and locked up. It does seem that way but I never lost oil pressure or anything. It was making some bad knocking but I figured it was the gas or knock sensor? Please help., I am disabled and cant do much anymore. This car was running excellent until I went to that gas station? Why would it fall apart so fast? It seems like a minor thing but I am afraid I did some serious damage?:uhoh: :banghead:

Welcome to AF. Pull the plugs and try and turn the engine from the crank pulley with a wrench, for starters.

Thank for the quick response maxwedge, what does or will this do? Is this a good way to dive into the problem to check a specific problem?

You will see if the engine seized, which is what you seemed to have described. The crank sensor is mounted near the harmonic balancer, it signals the pcm and icm to fire the ign and injectors. The cam sensor is for timing the injector sequence.
