97 breeze oil leak

We have a 97 breeze(2.0L) and theres engine oil getting into the coolant.

were these engines known to get cracked heads or blocks?

These things are/were famous for bad heads or head gaskets. I had a '96 and noticed a oil leak under the car, brought it in and had the head shaved and gasket replaced, plus had the timing chain replaced(since they were in there and they recommend to replace at like 100,000???) Now after they did all of that, it still leaked, same amount, same spot. :disappoin I brought it back in and they replaced the cam adjustment seal. (head redone = $850.00, cam adjustment seal = $60.00) Taken for a ride????? Have a couple people look at it before you take the first shops word. lol
