oil in the coolantvesmcd 04-24-2007, 07:01 PM '95 Escort/1.9/5spd is getting OIL in the coolant overflow tank but NO coolant in the oil. My first guess is a bad head gasket. Any other place it could be coming from? I REALLY don't want to pull the head. Thanks. mightymoose_22 04-24-2007, 09:06 PM Nope. vesmcd 04-25-2007, 12:26 AM Yeah, mightymoose, I know. Just hoping for an easy fix. It could happen. 12Ounce 04-25-2007, 07:42 AM Not sure, but the intake gasket might cause it ... the coolant would have to pass by the rings once allowed in the combustion stream. Possible, but perhaps unlikely; Are you having any performance symptoms? If not, the intake gasket becomes more likely. vesmcd 04-25-2007, 11:31 AM 12ounce, thanks for the reply, but the problem is oil getting in the coolant NOT coolant in the oil. 12Ounce 04-25-2007, 01:18 PM OOPS! My bad!
