1998 Camry Suspension work = ABS sensor damage?

Greetings! I recently had some work done to a 1998 Camry that needed extensive suspension work (new bushings, struts, etc) and im thinking the ABS sensor got damaged. When i got the vehicle back, the ABS light would come on and the traction control light would blink. Needless to say this will be the last time i let a Mineakie (sp) place do this kind of work.

My question stems from an argument im having with the techs, that they somehow damaged the sensor (toyota techs said there is one in the wheel assembly) and wont own up to it.

Comments? Help? Please?:frown:

Unless they did something to the hub or steering knuckle, the only other thing that may have happened is that either the sensor was not plugged back in properly after replacing the struts or the sensor wires got damaged from stress because someone did not disconnect it properly when performing the suspension work. Or, it is a coincidence that this failure occurred at the same time, which is a possibility of course. Why don't you see if you can get the codes read for the ABS system to see exactly where the problem is? The other things you can do yourself if you want is to remove the wheels (fronts I assume) and inspect the wiring going into the sensors which should be clipped to the struts and then come into the hub/knuckle. Get the codes first though.
