-5 on the boost guage... at idle... does that mean vac leak or is that normal? CavLCD128 04-18-2007, 12:49 PM i really dont no whats normal for vac, but i vac usually between -25 and -16 (16 at a cold start, and 24-25 when im in gear and coasting) (i usually sit at -19 vac) Classicrocjunkie 04-18-2007, 04:47 PM Should be a little lower, yes Derk_eliso 04-18-2007, 08:20 PM yuck.. hmm okay Schister66 04-20-2007, 03:07 PM you have a vaccuum leak.... where did you tie in your vaccuum ports?? You're supposed to tie them into the vac hose running to the brake booster BEFORE the check valve. One thing that might make your life easier is a vaccuum manifold....like mine http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j193/Schister66-3/Morepics012.jpg http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j193/Schister66-3/Morepics011.jpg Schister66 04-20-2007, 03:08 PM if you need pictures of anything, let me know and i'll try help you out...also if you want one of those vac manifolds, i can get you one w/ fittings for less than $50 Classicrocjunkie 04-20-2007, 06:46 PM That little vac manifold is a good idea. Looks like it makes for a cleaner install of all the lines. Derk_eliso 04-20-2007, 09:21 PM yeah, I fixed it.. I had a brain fart... and installed the boost controller between the fpr and the bov instead of the line from compressor to wastegate... so changed that around and startup vac = -15, op temp = -20... so I'm good...
