Battery... Alternator... Drainage... Derk_eliso 04-17-2007, 10:16 PM
I have a switch hooked up for my high beams, to turn them on and off cuz there is a problem with my relay...or something... anyway, it works fine.. The only thing is they're hooked up to a constant power source, and when the switch is off (headlights are off) the switch illuminates a small green LED, and when I turn it off it switches to a red LED... even when the keys are out of the car it still lights up green... How much drain will that make on my battery? do you think it's safe to just leave it connected like that, since the alternator charges the battery while driving?? millrtime 04-17-2007, 11:23 PM u will be fine....unless u leave it sitting for like 6 months. my friend leaves his radar detector and alarm both on all the time, both have multiple l.e.d.'s running constantly and no problems.
