Hi,

I have a 1993 Cadillac Sedan DeVille with a broken armrest (drivers door). Does anyone know how to remove old armrest and replace with new? I especially would like to know how to remove.

Thanks Anthony

The entire door panel needs to be removed. Their is a screw behind the door handle, 1 behind each courtesy light on arm rest, and four under the window buttons/ mirror buttons. The screw behind the door handle is simple just pull door handle out and unscrew. To remove the two courtesy llights first carefully remove the lenses with a flat head screwdriver or similar tool then squeze the two clips on the ends of the light bulb and remove the intire light. Screws are behind the lights. To remove the window button bezel push a flat head screw driver under the backside (closer to the trunk) to push in clip then lift up. Take out the four screws. Then carefully pry off all the door panel clips to get the door panel off. Then their should be clips or screws attaching the arm rest to the door panel.

Yup. I got a 93 DeVille and the same problem....Its common with older cars. Agree with the guy above gotta take the whole door skin off and replace it. Pry the cluster of window and lock buttons (towrds the back of it) with a screwdriver. Couple screws under the wood grain handle one by the door handle and one screw in each of the lights (under door and side of door) lightly pry out the lights and you will see the screws in there and then pry the clips away and waaalaaa!
