91 Olds Delta 88 Trani removal

I was thinking about buying this 88 out of the paper for $600.00 but it needs a new Transmittion. I can do the repair I just need to Now (if I do have to pull the engine to replace the Transmittion ?) and or if there is anything else I should now while replacing the Trani. Thank You

Welcome to AF. If you have never done a fwd trans this can be tough, it comes out from the bottom after the suspension ,subframe and axles are removed, you will need a upper support for the engine also. A lift and a stand up trans jack are the best and safest way to this.
