Hi all!
I have a 95 Pathfinder SE Auto which has a similar trait to Ripraiders SE but also different. Forward gears work well, very positive but no reverse at all. Unlike Ripraiders, revs do not drop when reverse is selected. In fact no indication that you are out of Park/neutral other than the positionof the shifter.....
Any help is much appreciated.

hi my name is glenn and i maybe able to help you with your reverse problem un bolt your shifter, at the top left hand corner in your tranny you will see a small unit 1in by 1in it bolts up through the wall of the tranny the spring may be broken so watch you don't knock it in to your tranny it's a revers switch and it's a cheap part $50 canadian you may get it for a little less good luck i hope i helped you a little.:flash:

I have this same problem with a '95- no reverse at all, and no noticable drop in RPM when shifting to reverse. Forward gears all strong. hmmm....Has there been any luck with anyone's suggestions?

So curious as my Nissan Pathfinder has the exact same problem, I guess it just wants us to move forward in life only. Please let me know if you have done what the links suggest and if it actually was the problem. I would be greatly appreciative of your resolve of this problem Thank You for your info.

Has anyone had any luck yet? I started working on mine today, but can't seem to locate the reverse switch. I will keep you all posted.
