water leak on pass sideBENO4672 04-16-2007, 02:02 PM my 2003 monte carlo has a leak on the pass side every time it rains.please help:banghead: Legacy3135 04-16-2007, 07:10 PM get the whether stripping checked ? cats 04-16-2007, 07:27 PM I had the same problem with an '01 Sebring Sedan - it turned out that water was leaking thru the seal around the windshield - after they redid the seal I haven't had any water leakage and it has been about 2 years. They had to remove the dash and door panel and hose it down to find the leak. Hope this helps. Good Luck! '97ventureowner 04-16-2007, 11:05 PM Yes, it sounds like a leak somewhere around the windshield. The problem here is that water likes to find the path of least resistance and can travel a ways from it's point of origin until you actually see the water. I had a leak in my Venture and it started in the middle of the top of the windshield , but the point at where I saw the water was on the other side towards the passenger side. I also had water from the same starting point end up in the overhead console where it traveled a little further and dripped between the front seats. I've seen instances where the drainage areas have been blocked by debris such as dead leaves, pine needles, and seeds ( from maple trees, those little helicopter-type seeds that can travel quite a distance,) and debris from those trees that shed a cottony like substance. The water gets backed up at the clog and finds an alternate route to drain, sometimes ending up in the car's interior. As a previous poster said it also could be your weather stripping around the door. Do a visual check to see if there are any "chunks" missing or rips/tears that could let water in. You might also see water enter these areas if you take your car through a high pressure car wash. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
