2001 Aurora wipers, cruise, ABS

Had one come in today that is over my head. The car is a 2001 Aurora and the windshield wipers and cruise control do not work. I have checked and replaced the wiper motor and wiper switch. This car does have the automatic wipers as well. The customer stated that when they stopped working, the cruise stopped and the ABS light came on as well. I am getting power at the wiper motor. There is a single constant power, and two other lines that get hot when the switch goes through is settings. As far as i can tell, the wiper motor is not getting any ground. I was told that the multifunction switch controls the ground for the wipers. The multifunction switch is on the left side of the colum and is not attached to the wiper switch in any way. Is this true? I would hate to spend the money to get a new switch (they must be made of gold) and have it not work. I was also wondering if the sensor for the automatic wipers could cause it not to work on any setting. Any advice would help.

Did you try to get any Trouble Codes?? I am thinking maybe a blown fuse or fuses, or a wire.
