how do you remove the armrest on a 1990 deville?

my door wont open from the outside on the pass side and i need to take the door panel off i would guess but i can find the screws to remove the armrest. its driving me nuts. i cant get in the pass side from the outside......HELP!!!!!!

You will need to remove the switch plate from the armrest. This is held in by some spring clips. remove the red and white lamps from the armrest. A small flat tip screwdriver will do for the switch plate and lamps. Once you remove those items you will see the screws
