Brakes Grabbing in 1988 '88 rear- Advice?

Need your advice. I have a 1988 '88, and just this week I noticed that the right rear Brake is occasionally sticking when at a full stop. You release the brake pedal, but the car does not move like it normally might. Add a little throttle, and you can hear a "clunk" in the right rear, and feel the brake release. My guess might be either a broken return spring, or just a mechanical "Sticking" on the shoe.

I'm getting a new car in about three weeks. I will drive about 100 miles during that time. Do you think it will be safe to continue as is, or is this too serious. I am 500 miles away from any tools, so not much of a chance to jack it up and look at the brakes unless I go out and buy a bunch of brake stuff. Also, I could take it in and get the brakes "Worked on", but I estimate $200-$300 ( no cheap places in the Bay Area).

Thanks

It wouldnt hurt to pull the hub and check it out.

It does sound like a return spring, it could have just came loose. :dunno:
