79 Trans Amstephenh 04-11-2007, 10:30 PM Still haven't figured out how to post a picture. Why do I have to have a URL? Anyway, my engine shop sent me a set of Ford bearings, luckily they weren't a "close" fit. That would have been a sick start up!! I am thinking about going with 87cc Edelbrocks. It seemed as though I would have to cater to a 10:1 engine, so I might play it safe. Besides, it will be begging for a 461 stroker in a few years. Atleast I think so. My block was a little rusted, so I had to go .060 over. Is that it for a 400 block? If it is, I guess I'll just have to start from scratch. As far as the drivetrain is concerned, I'm still not how much power a 79 TA's 4-speed tranny/rear-end can handle. Any ideas on a good upgrade that would still allow cruising at 60-65? curtis73 04-11-2007, 11:30 PM Uh.... you lost me. What was all that about Ford engines and a 79 TransAm? Pictures must be already on the web. AF doesn't host pictures that you load from your computer. Put them on Photobucket or some other free photo hosting site and then link to them. UncleBob 04-12-2007, 01:41 AM hell, I was trying to find a real question in there. I'm not sure if there is any. I think he just really likes his car :D stephenh 04-12-2007, 09:42 AM yeah, sorry about that. I meant to post in the pontiac forum. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
