i have tested the switch, it sends power out when switch is activated. any help would be appreciated, thanks

Make sure :the 10 amp "meter" fuse, the 15 amp "hazard" fuse, and the 15 amp "stop" fuses are all OK.

Do the brake lights work? If not, check the brake BOO switch.

After all that, you might replace the flasher unit. Looks like a plug in relay ... near clutch pedal (or that area). Kinda pricey ... I think only avail at Ford. You might take a look at one at dealer before purchasing ... just so you know what you're looking for.
