Hello all...
I'm new to this particular forum. I'm working on my friend's '94 Deville, 4.9L. I replaced the a/c compressor with a reman and I want to charge it now, but it won't take any freon. I know I have to get the compressor running for this to work. I don't know where the low pressure switch is on this car. I was going to jump it to kick the compressor on.
Can anyone tell me where it is and if this will work on these cars? The only other thing I can think to do is jump the compressor by applying 12 volts directly to it.
Thanks,
Dave Sexton

I'd like to know the answer to this also, but for a '95.

I don't know if this will help since you have a '95, but on the '94 it's in the low-side line that runs from the receiver/drier to the evaporator, about 2/3rds of the way back along the line towards the firewall. It has two wires that go into the plug on it. I know that if you jump that switch, it should kick the compressor on.
Hope this helps!

That's what I thought. The Haynes manual for this car sucks.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yeah, I have a Haynes and it's terrible to. But I also have the factory manuals and they're pretty good.
