Do you really think there is areal difference between Boxster and 911, because I have a 1997 Porsche Carrera 2. It looks better than a 2001 Porsche Boxster.

That's a ridiculous question!
There's a huge difference between the two cars. Theyre based on completely different engineering theories which makes them completely different to drive. One is mid engined the other rear engined. One is a 2+2 the other a roadster. Both are exquisite on the limit, but the only real similarity is the same front light unit on the early 996's and the Boxster!
Btw, what the hell is a 966? :confused: I dont think that exists!

996 and Boxster are two very real Porsches. I was sad to see the 911 break with tradition but its still very much a 911 and an exceptionally good car. Things change, get over it

it is not hard to get over cars. Who cares, as long as it looks good and is quick!

Sorry, but the 993 was hard for me to get over. To me its the most beautiful 911 ever and one of the best designs ive ever seen. It was followed by a car that doesnt look as good, i.e. the 996, which despite being faster doesnt strike the same chord with me.

Is that to do with the spoiler?

The spoiler is still present on the 996, though the 993 turbo's rear wing is much cooler than the 996 T's. But its not about the spoiler, its the whole package. the 993 body was swoopy, sexy, and aggressive at the same time. the 996 cant claim the same. those "hips" on the 993 were simply outstanding, which the 996 doesnt have, and the new 996 headlights took a while to get used to, even though theyve recently been improved. Overall the 911 lost a lot of character from 993 to 996, though it gained a lot of ability.

ahh id have to say that the 930 turbo was my favorite it hade those big rear fender flares and that sweet whale tail spoiler. wow that was a cool car and the slant nose was sweet too. its so hard to choose bewtween the 930 and the 993 but i think ill take the oldie over the new one. have you seen the 997? they look better in the front than the current 996's almost like the 993 but not quite.
